To honour Kabosu the Doge’s 17th birthday, individuals across the globe have generously donated over 1,000,000 Dogecoin ($100,000) to build a bronze statue of her in Sakura, Japan. Atsuko Sato, Kabosu’s owner has contacted Sakura city council who are happy to include the statue as part of their 2024 plan to restore Furusato Square.
The money that was accumulated has been put into a multisignature wallet and now the mission to construct the statue of our beloved Doge will start. We will collaborate with Japanese shibes, Atsuko Sato, and the local Sakura authorities and will keep everyone informed of any development regarding the statue.
