Shytoshi Kusama, the project lead, established Shiba Inu Games to support the development of gaming projects related to the Shiba Inu Ecosystem. The Shib Army has long expressed a desire to enter into gaming, and this company is their first step on that journey. To collaborate with third-party providers more efficiently, having this division as a separate corporate entity made sense. Right after setting up Shiba Inu Games, Shytoshi announced their collaboration with PlaySide Studios to create their initial game: Shiba Eternity.
Shytoshi also declared the appointment of William Volk, a seasoned gaming expert, as principal consultant.
Shiba Eternity is a competitive card game (CCG) with a Shiba Inu theme. The mobile version of the game is already out and has an enthusiastic group of players, and the blockchain version will soon be released with extra features such as Shiboshi NFT integration, play-to-earn mechanisms, and DeFi-related elements. This marks the first successful effort to create a gaming company that serves the Shib Army!
