Gamic, an Africa-based Web3 social media platform, is arriving on the Polygon network to bring blockchain-driven possibilities to millions in the continent and beyond. The Gamic app is a messaging application that unites a wallet experience with sophisticated community management capabilities.
On December 20th, its beta version will come out with a Web3 gaming toolset providing financial and operational solutions for gamers, guilds, and eSports groups. To celebrate the launch of the beta version, there will be an NFT drop in collaboration between Polygon and Gamic. On top of that, it will also provide a chat channel akin to Discord’s; wallet service with token swapping; plus YouTube live streaming support along with tipping options in both crypto currency as well as NFTs.
Gamic will provide gaming projects with essential resources, such as analytics for games and assets along with automated guild management systems. Over the next three months, new capabilities will be introduced including community linking, tournament organizing, and more. Additionally, users will be able to mint Achievement Badges after they complete specific tasks.
Gamic is joining forces with a range of established projects that are already utilizing the Polygon network, such as Atari, Animoca, Decentraland, Somnium Space and The Sandbox. By harnessing the network’s cost-effectiveness, high transaction speeds and low environmental impact it will enable Gamic to craft engaging blockchain gaming experiences. Moreover, Gamic runs the most prominent Web3 gaming guild in Africa and has set out to provide African youth with the means of achieving financial autonomy. Its easy-to-use platform that is resistant to censorship could be crucial for accelerating blockchain technology adoption in Africa.
This could have far-reaching effects on society and the economy, such as self-governed identity, access to financial services, and pathways to employment and achieving one’s goals.
