Today marks the start of the Denali Incentivized Testnet, which is the last step before Avalanche’s mainnet launch. This testnet is a collective effort to make sure that the network can function in realistic scenarios. By operating a node, joining an organized network upgrade, and keeping your node on Denali, you can get up to 2,000 Avalanche Tokens ($AVA) as a reward.
The Denali testnet will be an extension of Avalanche’s preceding successful testnet, Cascade, which was released in April and attracted almost 300 developers to operate validator nodes. It is created to construct, inform and remunerate the initial cohort of Avalanche validators who will equip the whole network for a decentralized, stable and extensively distributed mainnet launch this summer.
Avalanche is a unified, expandable system that facilitates the creation of decentralized finance applications and corporate blockchain infrastructures.
Avalanche enables developers to make strong, reliable, and secure programs and custom blockchain networks with intricate rulesets or construct on existing public or private subnets. Avalanche provides you total autonomy over both the application and network layers — assisting you in constructing anything you can think of.
Avalanche has the capacity to process thousands of transactions per second and payments are concluded in less than two seconds, offering performance comparable to leading payment processing firms.
